Thanks Ray for bringing up Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees! We're going out to the lake this week and now I'm not so sure about staying long!
Not a problem! Just be careful of walking around late at night, swimming in the lake at night or being alone with your best girl; those machetes are sharp!
I don't think the horror movies are what scare people most about lakes, it might be the fact that what's on the bottom can only be felt and not seen or there might be some sort of entanglement under the water that they could get stuck in. -

0What's to be afraid of in a lake? I wonder if it only affects certain age groups from certain regions. I know as a child I was scared to death of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th movies and it made me not want to go into any lakes for a while. I outgrew it and began to realize that a lake is just as safe as you make it.
