Actually, Lake Hartwell would be perfect for you. It borders both Georgia and South Carolina. It has 9 campgrounds at Lake Hartwell with a total of 524 campsites.

Baker Creek State Park, Kings Mountain State Park, and Lake Hartwell State Park all have campgrounds. I am sure there are numerous other options. These are the ones that I can think of.
