Heidecke Lake, Illinois
Heidecke Lake is an excellent spot for pole-and-line fishermen. Located southeast of Morris, Illinois, in the Heidecke Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area, it regularly produces trophy-size bass. Although there are no fees for fishing, an Illinois license is required. Anglers are limited to two poles each. Swimming and skiing are prohibited. The only boats allowed are those used for waterfowl hunting and fishing.
