Horseshoe Lake is located in Horseshoe Lake State Park in Madison County, Illinois. Bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie fishing is popular at the lake, as is boating and waterfowl hunting. It has hunting blinds and three boat ramps as well as a handicapped accessible fishing pier. The park has campsites, playgrounds, hiking trails and picnic shelters. As the former home of Indian mound builders, the lake is also of historical interest.
